:: How to differentiate sword types

• Nodachi,  : 90cm and over.
• Katana: over 60,6 cm (more than two shaku)
   Another type of katana is ninja sword.
   - Ninja sword: Slightly shorter than katana, straight blade, and usually square guard.
  also known as ninjato or ninjaken or shinobi katana.
   
• Wakizashi: between 30,3 cm - 60,6 cm (between one and two shaku)
• Tanto, Aikuchi: under 30,3 cm (under one shaku)
