Viking Sword Damascus 1095 Folded Steel--Ryan1367
$200.00Ryan1367 is a replica of a Viking sword. The Vikings were Scandinavian people which flourished around 700 - 1100 AD. They were known for their boat-building and good seamanship which helped their expansion and trading activity. Vikings were thought to be very fierce in battle and favor using swords, battle axes and round wooden shields. Unearthed Viking swords show that the Vikings had an advanced knowledge in sword-making often pattern welding the blades and adding intricate adornments. In keeping with the Viking style of swordmaking, the blade of Ryan1367 is made of folded 1095 steel with a beautiful folding pattern. The pattern is wave-like along the edges and concentric whorls in the middle of the blade. The handle is wrapped with synthetic leather for comfort and better grip. The handguard and pommel are made of iron. The pommel is screwed to the tang, the tang is full. -

53" Odachi Japanese Long Sword 1095 Carbon Steel Functional Sharp--Ryan1274
$200.00Odachi or nodachi was a type of traditionally made Japanese sword used by the samurai class of feudal Japan. Odachi are difficult to produce because their length makes traditional heat treatment more complicated: The longer a blade is, the more difficult (and expensive) it is to heat the whole blade to a homogeneous temperature, both for annealing and to reach the hardening temperature. The quenching process then needs a bigger quenching medium because uneven quenching might lead to warping the blade.
The blade is made of 1095 high carbon steel and full tang, the tsuka is wrapped with genuine rayskin and synthetic leather ito. The saya is made of hardwood. The sword is sharp and battle ready.

$200.00Ryan1244 is a katana in shirasaya mount. The blade has a shinogi zukuri geometry with a mild 1.3 cm sori or curvature. It has a laminated blade with an edge made of 1095 carbon steel and sides made of folded steel with a beautiful hada. It is clay-tempered with a natural hamon and with a bohi that starts above the habaki and terminates at the yokote. The saya and tsuka of this sword is made of a light-colored hardwood and the blade is secured to the handle with a single bamboo peg or menuki. Sakabato Reversed-Edge Shirasaya Katana Japanese Sword 1095 Steel Clay Tempered Light Cutting--Ryan1218
$200.00Historically, there are no records of reverse-edged katanas in medieval Japan. The reverse-edged katana was popularized by the manga Samurai-X where the main character Rurouni Kenshin uses a reverse-edge katana to avoid killing opponents in a swordfight.
Ryan1218 is a katana in shirasaya case. The blade is made of differentially-hardened 1095 carbon steel with a visible, natural hamon. The saya and tsuka is made of beautiful, light-colored wood with brown buffalo horn. Blades in shirasaya casing are not really intended to be used for cutting as the handle is prone to break without the support of the rayskin and ito wrap and the fuchi and kashira. When a katana is not to be used for a considerable time, the blade was usually mounted in shirasaya case to prevent rusting.
