Personal Remark

The blade is made of tamahagane or jewel steel by strictly following traditional method. Hazuya and jizuya stones are used to bring out the hamon lines and grain patterns, finish polishing is done to stand out all details of the blade, give shining appearance an beauty to the sword. In finish polishing, the blade is painstakingly worked on section by section, using wafer-thin slices cut from the main stones. It takes an experienced polisher 25-30 days to do the finish polishing. The tsuba set is made of copper with golden plating. Tsuka is wrapped with one-piece genuine Rayskin. The saya is made of premium hardwood, the dragon on it is hand-carved. Koiguchi, kojiri and kurigata are made of buffalo horns. The sword is assembled tightly and well balanced. It has fine finish.
