The blade is made of folded steel, folding patterns are clearly visiable. It's full tang. The fittings are made of brass and hand-carved. The motif of the fittings is lotus flower. In Chinese culture, lotus flower is the symbol of saintliness. It grows from mud, but it is unstained. The handle and scabbard are made of ebony. The sword is sharp and functional.
