Ryan848 is our version of the released form (shikai) of Sode no Shirayuki, the spirit sword or zanpakuto of the shinigami (death god or soul reaper) Kuchiki Rukia in the series Bleach. In the story, shinigami are members of of a group tasked in defending humans from evil spirits or hollows and guiding souls to the afterlife. With excellent fighting prowess and trained in using incantations, a shinigami's main weapon is the zanpakutou, a spirit sword with its own specific powers.

Sode no Shirayuki's power is the generation and control of ice and with it, is able to freeze and destroy its opponents.

Ryan848 is a white-themed sword. The tsuba, habaki, seppa and fuchi are all painted white. Half of the tsuka has white rayskin panels and wrapped with white, synthetic, silk ito while the other half is polished hardwood with glossy, white paint from which a trinket bell and a white cord hangs. The saya is also made of hardwood with glossy, white paint. The blade is of honsanmai lamination with a 1095 high carbon steel edge and a folded steel skin. It is differentially-hardened with a visible, natural hamon.
