The blade is made of folded steel, it's full tang and hand-forged. The folding grains are clearly visible. The fittings are hand-engraved brass and plated into gold. In Chinese culture, peony is the flower of riches and honor, it's the king of the flowers. The handle and scabbard are made of ebony.
