The blade is honsanmai lamination, 1095 high carbon steel is the cutting edge, folded steel is used as jacket steel. The grains of folded steel are clearly visible. The front end of the blade is double-edged. The tsuka is made of hardwood and wrapped with genuine rayskin and synthetic silk ito. The saya is made of hardwood. All the fittings are made of brass. Tsuba, fuchi, kashira and menuki are made of copper and snake motif
