Odachi or nodachi was a type of traditionally made Japanese sword used by the samurai class of feudal Japan. Odachi are difficult to produce because their length makes traditional heat treatment more complicated: The longer a blade is, the more difficult (and expensive) it is to heat the whole blade to a homogeneous temperature, both for annealing and to reach the hardening temperature. The quenching process then needs a bigger quenching medium because uneven quenching might lead to warping the blade.  

The blade is made of folded steel, after color treatment the folding grains are more obvious. The tsuka is wrapped with genuine rayskin and synthetic silk ito. The tsuba is brass and dragon motif.  The fittings are fully customizable.

Ryan1244 is a katana in shirasaya mount. The blade has a shinogi zukuri geometry with a mild 1.3 cm sori or curvature. It has a laminated blade with an edge made of 1095 carbon steel and sides made of folded steel with a beautiful hada. It is clay-tempered with a natural hamon and with a bohi that starts above the habaki and terminates at the yokote. The saya and tsuka of this sword is made of a light-colored hardwood and the blade is secured to the handle with a single bamboo peg or menuki. Though the blade is made of durable steel, this sword is not really intended for cutting as a shirasaya furniture is only intended as a storage for a blade which will not be used for a considerable time.

The Gladius was a sword popularized by the Legions at the height of Roman Empire. It is a double-edge sword with a sharp, tapering tip. It was a very effective close-quarter weapon which very well complements the fighting style of the Roman legions. It is well suited for thrusting, stabbing, slashing and chopping. Historical accounts of various forms of gladius indicate that its blade lenght ranges from around 18 to 28 inches. The handle has ridges to provide better grip and ended in a knob.

The blade is honsanmai structure, 1095 high carbon steel is the core steel and cutting edge, folded steel is the jacket layer. The grains of folded steel is clearly visible. The blade is clay tempered and hazuya polished. The tsuka is made of hardwood, wrapped with one-piece genuine rayskin and synthetic silk ito. The saya is made of hardwood, the decorations on the saya are shell. Koiguchi, kurigata and kojiri are made of buffalo horns. Tsuba, fuchi and kashira are made of copper and plated with silver.

Ryan1168 is one of our midlevel swords. The blade is of a shinogi-zukuri geometry and in a gyaku kobuse style of lamination. The edge is made of 1095 high carbon steel while the core is made of a softer steel. The blade is differentially-hardened with a natural hamon and can take on hard targets. The tsuka is made of hardwood, wrapped with genuine rayskin and synthetic silk ito. The tsuba, fuchi and kashira are all made of copper inlayed with silver and feature an intricate flower theme. The menuki is a silver praying mantis while the habaki and seppa are also made of brass. The saya is made of hardwood with black buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri. It has a smooth, black lacquer finish and has grooves along its length. The sageo is black synthetic silk.

The blade of Ryan1369 is made of 1095 folded steel, folding grains are clearly visible. There's a fuller on each side of the blade. All the fittings are made of brass. The handle is made of hardwood and wrapped with synthetic leather cord. The blade is full tang and battle ready, no sheath, a synthetic leather cover is used to protect the blade.
