The blade is forged with 1095 high carbon steel, during forging process the steel is folded to generate folding grains. The blade is clay tempered, the hamon is straight. The area between hamon and cutting edge is hazuya polished. The tsuka is made of hardwood, wrapped with genuine rayskin and synthetic silk ito. The saya is made of hardwood, also wrapped with one-piece genuine rayskin. Tsuba, fuchi, kashira and fittings on saya are made of brass and plated with gold.
