The saya is made of rosewood, the color and veins are natural.Kurigata, koiguchi and kojiri are made of buffalo horns. Tsuba, fuchi and kashira are made iron.

Ryan767 is a katana with a shinogi zukuri geometry and intricately forged in shihozumi lamination. All the fittings are made of brass. The tsuba, fuchi and kashira depict a "tora" or tiger and a monk. In Japanese tradition, the tiger symbolizes ferocity and strenght. The tsuka is made of hardwood, wrapped with black-lacquered samegawa and red cotton ito. The saya is made of hardwood painted with glossy, black lacquer and partially wrapped with red rayskin near the kurikata. The koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri are made of polished black buffalo horn.
