Ryan1335 is a beautiful blade with a deep koshi sori curve and shinogi zukuri geometry. The blade is made of differentially-hardened 1095 steel with no bo-hi and designed for heavy targets. The sori is 2.8cm at the deepest point and the very appealing kissaki measures 5.5 cm.

The tsuba, fuchi, kashira are all made of iron. The seppa and habaki are made of brass but chromed to give it a silvery appearance. The tsuka is made of hardwood fully-wrapped with black, real rayskin and reinforced with cotton ito. The saya is made of brown hardwood partially-covered with white rayskin and then painted over with clear lacquer to show the very attractive wood grains. The koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri are made of polished buffalo horn.

The blade is honsanmai structure, 1095 high carbon steel is the core steel and cutting edge, folded steel is the jacket layer. The grains of folded steel is clearly visible. The blade is clay tempered, from hamon to mune the blade is polished with hazuya stone. The tsuka is made of hardwood, wrapped with one-piece genuine rayskin and synthetic silk ito. Rayskin is painted gold to match the rayskin color on saya. The saya is made of hardwood, kurigata, koiguchi and kojiri are polished yellow buffalo horns. Ryan1168 is one of our midlevel swords. The blade is of a shinogi-zukuri geometry and in a gyaku kobuse style of lamination. The edge is made of 1095 high carbon steel while the core is made of a softer steel. The blade is differentially-hardened with a natural hamon and can take on hard targets. The tsuka is made of hardwood, wrapped with genuine rayskin and synthetic silk ito. The tsuba, fuchi and kashira are all made of copper inlayed with silver and feature an intricate flower theme. The menuki is a silver praying mantis while the habaki and seppa are also made of brass. The saya is made of hardwood with black buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri. It has a smooth, black lacquer finish and has grooves along its length. The sageo is black synthetic silk.

Ryan767 is a katana with a shinogi zukuri geometry and intricately forged in shihozumi lamination. The edge is made of 1095 high carbon steel which has high hardness while the sides are made of folded steel which has high flexibility and has a beautiful grain pattern or hada. Iron is used to form the softer core of the blade. . This lamination results in a sword with a very hard edge, sides with a beautiful hada and a soft, shock-absorbent core. Forging laminated blades require high attention and skill from the bladesmith to produce a durable blade free from lamination weakness. The blade is differentially heat treated with a natural hamon. All the fittings are made of brass. The tsuba, fuchi and kashira depict a "tora" or tiger and a monk. In Japanese tradition, the tiger symbolizes ferocity and strenght. The tsuka is made of hardwood, wrapped with black-lacquered samegawa and red cotton ito. The saya is made of hardwood painted with glossy, black lacquer and partially wrapped with red rayskin near the kurikata. The koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri are made of polished black buffalo horn.

The edge is made of 1095 high carbon steel which has high hardness while the sides are made of folded steel which has high flexibility and has a beautiful grain pattern or hada. Iron is used to form the softer core of the blade. The shihozume lamination is a labor-intensive forging technique that requires high skill level on the part of the swordsmith. Imperfect fusion or welding of the different steel types on the blade can cause the blade to delaminate or split.
